Common questionsClix Cache FAQ
The questions we get most often about the free version.
Is Clix Cache really free?
Yes. The plugin distributed on WordPress.org is free forever, with no locked features and no in-admin upsell popups. Clix Cache Pro is a separate, optional commercial plugin — it adds features but doesn't gate what's in Free.
Does Clix Cache send any data to your servers?
No. The plugin makes no outbound calls to Clix or third parties. The real-user Web Vitals endpoint stores anonymous numeric performance data on your server only — no cookies, no IPs, no identifiers.
Will it conflict with my host's caching or Cloudflare?
Clix Cache is host-agnostic and knows how to coexist with server-level caching and Cloudflare. Cloudflare integration uses the official API for one-click edge purges. If your host already runs LiteSpeed or NGINX caching, you can disable Clix Cache's page cache and still use the WebP, mobile, database and Web Vitals features.
Do I need to configure it after install?
Sensible defaults turn on at activation. Most sites don't need to touch anything except pasting a Cloudflare API token (optional). Advanced controls are one click deeper if you want them.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Uninstall cleanly removes cache files, the Web Vitals table, and plugin options. No orphan tables, no leftover cron jobs. Deactivation without uninstall keeps your settings intact for re-activation later.
Do you offer support for the free version?
Support for Clix Cache Free is provided through the WordPress.org support forum on a best-effort basis. Priority email support is available with Clix Cache Pro.
